This Privacy Policy applies to the collection, processing and storage of your personal information by Valiram Inner Circle Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Valiram Trading Sdn Bhd) (“Valiram”) and other related entities within the Valiram Group (including its subsidiaries). “Valiram”, “we”, “us” or “our”, within this Privacy Policy refers to the specific Valiram entity responsible for processing  your personal information.

We (or our service providers) collect your information through various channels, including but not limited: (a) in our stores or otherwise offline, (b) on or through www.valiram.com, any of our other websites or applications, (c) when you create an account with us, or otherwise sign up for a service loyalty programme or feature, (d) when you communicate with us via third-party social media sites, (e) when you make purchases from us via any means, (f) when you participate in our contest or other promotion or subscribe to our newsletter (g) when you otherwise communicate with us via any other means or provide information to us through customer service feedback or inquiries.
Information collected includes but is not limited to your name, contact details, demographic information, date of birth, addresses for billing and other payment information, IP address, details on items purchased, personal preferences, location information (if your device and app settings allow us to collect it), and other information you have voluntarily consented to provide to us.

We (and our authorised service providers, on our behalf) may use the information we collect from and about you for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to the following:

•    Keeping you informed (either via post, telephone, email or SMS service) about our new stores, products, services, upcoming events, or promotions;
•    To facilitate your participation in any contests or events or loyalty programs;

•    Affiliate marketing initiatives with partners or third-party service provides related to Valiram and its business
•    Analytics, search engine, marketing campaign & CRM (Customer Relationship Management) service providers purely based on Valiram initiatives for marketing & communication purposes.
Valiram also uses WhatsApp which may be used for the purposes of chat & shop feature as a channel to communicate with you on matters which include but is not limited to your order(s), transaction(s), appointment information, delivery and shipping notifications, product and service updates, and/or marketing. Your use of WhatsApp as a channel to communicate with Valiram and brands under Valiram is done at your own discretion and risk. Information shared through WhatsApp is encrypted end to end without sharing it to other platforms including Facebook and Instagram for remarketing purpose. You have the right to access, update, or withdraw your consent regarding your personal data and marketing preferences at any time by contacting us.
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws and regulations

SECTION 4 – DISCLOSURE AND TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

In order to provide the above services to you, we may share your personal information with our subsidiaries and affiliated companies worldwide, and selected third parties including our business partners, franchisors, brand principals and third-party service providers.
Although Valiram’s headquarters is in Malaysia, we may share when necessary the personal data we collect from you may be transferred to, processed and stored in different countries depending on the circumstances, including any countries where Valiram operates including but not limited to  (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macau, Philippines). Please note your personal data may be transferred to, processed and stored in countries which may or may not provide the same level of protection as the country in which you initially provided the personal data in such cases we ensure that adequate protection for your personal data is provided as required by applicable law. 
We may disclose your personal information to law enforcement agencies and government bodies if we are mandated  to do so by law; or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process and/or ensure public safety
By providing personal information to us, you consent to your personal data being transferred to, processed  stored and used in these countries in accordance with applicable local laws.

Such measures include limiting access to personal information to only Valiram employees and authorized third party service providers who need to know such information on a need to know basis for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, as well as other technical and physical safeguards.
All direct payment gateways we use adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards security measures.

Therefore, Valiram cannot be held responsible or liable for the privacy practices, content, or actions of these third-party websites. SECTION 6 – COOKIES

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on all websites related to Valiram. We do link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our website.
We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier and secure for you to navigate our website. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browsers “help” file.
